Kirstin is a graduate of Kutztown University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Counseling. Kirstin specializes in working with children and adolescents as well as individuals and families. Her expertise comes from working with individuals of all ages in a variety of settings over the past nine years. This includes residential treatment centers with juveniles, a mental-health and drug and alcohol center with adolescents and adults, in suburban elementary schools and an alternative middle/high school in the city, in-home services with families, and a boys a girls club in the city with school aged youth. Kirstin is caring, compassionate and empathetic and this shows in her person-centered approach and using a more holistic approach to counseling. Kirstin loves to incorporate art, play and/or music into sessions. Kirstin is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of others in a respectful, non-judgmental, supportive, and encouraging environment. Kirstin is committed to building a relationship where the person feels safe and comfortable to discuss their feelings and what they want from the counseling experience. Kirstin focuses on the person’s strengths and abilities and involves the person in the therapeutic process.
In her free time, Kirstin loves photography and enjoys all things related to nature and the outdoors; including hiking, fishing, camping, kayaking and urban exploring especially with her son.
